After much discussion, the Farmington Slalom has been changed to a ONE DAY RACE FORMAT THIS YEAR ONLY (so that racers can attend Jamie’s memorial service on Saturday).
Arrangements are in place for the water to be on by 8:00am on Sunday and race will start promptly after the 8:30 racer’s meeting. We will make extra effort to run efficiently, with NO BREAK BETWEEN SESSIONS (more on how this will work at the Racer’s Meeting).
Practice all day on Saturday, potluck on Saturday night as usual.
Please pass the word.
Profits from the Winni Slalom are being donated to Paws New England (www.pawsnewengland.com). Please check out their website and consider adopting a dog as awesome as Millie if you are considering getting a pup.
The “Any Length” class has been changed to be more consistent with the ACA Class names. It has been replaced by “OC-1 Open” and “OC-1 Women’s Open.” “Open” means any boat length, any boat material, any age, any sex (except in the case of “Women’s Open”).
In January 2013, this website was commissioned by the NESS Coordinator and Race Organizers of the New England Slalom Series whitewater racing organization. Its orginal purpose was to facilitate online registration & payment for New England Slalom Series races. Since then, it has become the official website for all NESS information.
